Access Statement for Lucy's Holiday Cottage
Introduction
Lucy's is a detached cottage at the bottom of Talland Hill, a steep and narrow lane. The accommodation is on 1 floor with 2 steps down to the bathroom.

Our website includes photographs of the interior and exterior of the cottage, local information and travel directions.
Bookings and enquiries can be made from the website via email or by telephone/letter.
Guests are provided with a map and written directions to the cottage.
The nearest bus stop is at Crumplehorn, 980m away from the cottage. In the summer there is a tram service running from the centre of Polperro (220m from the cottage) to Crumplehorn.
Looe railway station is 5 miles away, with regular buses from Crumplehorn to Looe.

Arrivals and Car Parking
Polperro is a quaint fishing village with narrow roads and lanes; car parking is not available directly outside the cottage. However, it is acceptable to park in the road outside Lucy's while loading/unloading.
Vehicular access from the village centre into Talland Hill is prohibited and visitors are advised to drive down Talland Hill to the cottage. After unloading it is a short drive through the village to the car park.
The car park is accessed through an up and over garage door (height: 2.08m) this leads to an area with a number of parking spaces. The spaces are designated, Lucy's space is number 17, which is on the left hand side and is 2.1m wide.
Main Entrance
The main entrance is at the side of the property and and accessed via a short ramp, 2.4m long, and 13 steps ranging from 15cm - 29cm high and 23cm - 62cm deep.
The front door opens into a small hallway. There is a light switch on the right hand side for the interior and exterior lights.
A 'welcome pack' containing information about the cottage and amenities is on the shelf of the coffee table.
Outdoor Facilities
Past the front door there are 15 steps, ranging from 13cm - 22cm high and 21cm - 39cm deep, leading to the patio. There is a handrail alongside the lower 10 steps. The patio is 3m x 2.3m and is lit by 2 lights operated by an outside switch on the handrail post to the left of the patio entrance.
The patio is surfaced with paving slabs and is uneven.
Additional Information
Orange and 3 is the only service that can get good mobile reception within Polperro. There is a public phone box opposite the cottage.
Lucy's is strictly a no smoking property.
Electricity is by a £1 slot meter which is in the hallway behind the main entrance.
